Eric Nordgren, Program Manager, Department of Health Informatics and Health Information, The College of St. Scholastica

Dr. Marc has a Master’s degree in biological sciences and a PhD in health informatics from the University of Minnesota and is a certified health data analyst (CHDA). He currently serves on the AHIMA Council for Excellence in Education (CEE), the HIMSS Early Careerists Taskforce, and the HIMSS Tiger Informatics Scholars Workgroup.  Dr. Marc has authored a number of referred journal articles on HIIM workforce trends and is a frequent speaker at state and national association meetings where he speaks on topics related to healthcare data analytics.

Eric Nordgren is the Program Manager for the Department of Healthcare Informatics and Information Management at The College of Saint Scholastica. Mr. Nordgren coordinates internship placements, along with communications and social media for the department. Before coming to CSS, Eric worked in a variety of roles at within health insurance, in addition to time spent substitute teaching and in retail sales. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/Language Arts from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
